Golf In The Mind

PROCESS – ROUTINE – RESULTS

Our goal is to share the knowledge that Colin has gained working as one of the world’s top caddies .  Colin has seen the best players in the world win the biggest tournaments and also worked with superb players who at crucial times made the wrong decisions like the rest of us.  We want to give golfers of all ages and ability a clear, simple Process and Routine each time they go out to play.  It takes a little effort and may not be something for every round but in time it will become second nature and happen anyway. The end result will be better scoring, increased confidence and greater enjoyment of the game of golf.

Primary Focus

The primary focus is on making the right decisions that over time will help you avoid the destructive shots and plays that ruin any golf card.

Test our Strategy

We have been testing our strategy for the last few months both on our own games and other golfing friends and the results have been dramatic.

Biggest Improvement

The biggest improvement has been the consistent good scoring as bad decisions become less frequent.

Gain Confidence

As you gain confidence in our approach it allow you to free up your mind and swing so that there are no negative thoughts as you execute your shot.

I was delighted when Colin asked me to write the foreword for this guide. We play with amateurs of all levels on a weekly basis in pre-tournament Pro-ams.  The area of strategy is something that we agree that they can really improve on; how they think on the golf course and apply themselves mentally.

Colin has the benefit of observing and advising players at the highest level of performance. The idea of sharing some of this professional, strategic and mental perspective with amateur golfers is hugely valuable.

This hands-on guide covers all the areas that we as professionals encounter in every competitive round that we play. As amateurs your objectives are no different in that you want to shoot the best score possible in any golf round.

There are no easy fixes in this complex and maddening game we all love and sometimes hate. But this excellent guide gives you the tools to maximise your potential as a golfer no matter what your ability.
Enjoy the read and happy golfing

We want to give golfers of all ages, ability and gender a clear simple concept that could be applied each time you go out to play. It takes a little effort and may not be something for every round but in time it will become second nature and happen anyway.

I played with the Ennis Seniors this morning and hit the ball better than I have done for a long time – I put it down to the book!! I read the first part about the Mental Approach, applied the principles for as long as I could remember and voila I started with 4 pars and a bogey – this standard has not been achieved by one for a long time, if ever!! It was not as good afterwards as we were interfered with by serious precipitation and cold, but overall I was very pleased with myself!!

Why do amateurs blow up when going well?

How many times have you been going well in a competition, you are swinging great and feeling confident and out of nowhere it is like you force yourself to have a bad hole?

When we have this bad hole we have subconsciously moved ourselves back into our comfort zone instead of pushing on and trying to shoot the best score possible.

By using the process and routine that we have outlined in this book it will keep you focused on each shot, stopping your mind taking over and forcing the errors that will ruin a great round.

Process – routine – results

The key result from continually applying this process and routine will be an increase in confidence as you start to eradicate the very bad scores created by making the wrong decisions.
As your confidence and positivity increases you will see an overall improvement in your scoring as you start to swing freely without complicated technical swing thoughts.
